We stayed at the Mayan Palace in the Marina. The hotel was clean, the unit we stayed in was spacious and the service was impeccable. One thing to be aware of is the photos and data on this site combine multiple Mayan Palace locations and so it is important that you know exactly what is included in the Mayan Palace you choose to stay at. We chose the marina location intentionally, but if we go back with our kids, we would stay at one of their other locations with a better beach.

We have stayed at the Mayan Palace here several times and love it. Just decline to go to a time share presitation and they won't bother you.



It is a short walk to downtown with lots to see and do along the way with lots of bars.



I like walking to the bar across from the dock downtown and chqat up the people. The hole town is very friendly.





timeshare presenations

i just left a timeshare presentation that i was sucked into by an OPC named Arial in a restaurant called ADRIANOS in BUCERIAS that is full of these timeshare people. they finally sucked me into the presentation while we were eating. he said 90 mins and it was not timeshare. we were promised 400 dollars cash to go through the presentation. NOT TIME SHARE HE SAYS. i have never been treated with such disrespect from that presenation in MAYAN PALACE. we never got our gift and we were insulted at the end of like 5 hours. THINGS ARE TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. BEWARE!
