I`ve played all but Punta Mita in PV, and several in Cabo. There is not one course I did not enjoy. Yes it would be nice to play Cabo del Sol everyday but I don`t have that kind of money and I`d rather be in PV anyway.

Flamingos is my favorite for many reasons but the thing that brings me back is the feeling I get on the course. I feel like I am in Mexico! The staff is friendly,no one is in a hurry, the course is always in good condition, and the layout of the course might be the best in PV. If Flamingos had Vista Vallarta type budget, it would be the best course in PV.

I will take Flamingos as is, a great course in a wonderful location with plenty of bite to keep you honest. Go to Flamingos to play golf, not shop or impress your friends with the size of the clubhouse. The beer tastes the same at most clubs but the nineteenth at Flamingos will remind you that, yes we are in Mexico.

We played in mid November 2009. We were the first group on the course the day we played. All of the working personnel, inside the clubhouse and outside were very curteous. Our caddie, Miguel, was a hard working man. Very knowledgeable of the course. He had his good eye out for the boa that he saw the day before we played. Good man!!
I would recommend Flamingos Golf to anyone that wants to enjoy a day on the course in Puerto Vallarta.

Over price for the experience

Through RC Cruise ship, I paid $135 to play here Oct 2009. I can get much better course and practice facility for less in the U.S. (California). The clubhouse is a joke; it has almost nothing you can buy. Best quality balls you can find is some old version of Top Flite. Fairways were fine, more like the rough at a muni course. Greens are not as good of conditions as my local $30 muni course. And watch out for biting bugs. I played a few times in Mexico, and if you are used to the U.S. quality courses, you will be disappointed. My conclusion for Mexico is you pay a lot to get very little. Only good course in Mexico is Cabo Del Sol, but you will pay $$$$ of course.

I visited the course on february 8, 2009 and loved it. There were two of us and we were joined by two other gentleman along with Miguel, the caddie, and coul not have a better time. Wish I could have golfed again there while I was on vacation.

Enjoyed it!

Lovely layout, some tight fairways with thick rough. Resort prices with mandatory caddie (and tips) make it only fair value.

Lots of land with few encroaching homes make it a beautiful and quiet round of golf. I enjoyed it immensely.

OK, nothing special

It's a very good course as far as standard courses go, but nothing special. Price was $70 twilight. Greens were sanded (about 8 of them) which was annoying. Playing in the low season (dry) made this course look worse than it should have, I played with folks that said it looks completely different when the water is higher on the course. It was ok, but Vista Vallarta was much better and El Tigre was a bit better.
