SamanthaRated:![]() by Samantha Kostelecky from usa Age: Written 1 year ago | My husband and I loved this course. We didn't stay at the resort so it took a while to get there, but we would do it again. Loved coming down #8, giving our lunch order to the guy who meets you at the end of #8. #9 was a beautiful par 3 next to the ocean. Lunch was fabulous and casual. No hurries to get back out to #10. Loved it. A must see and do! |
Golf ParadiseRated:![]() by Sgt RJ from Canada Age: Written 2 years ago | Just 30 minutes north of Barra de Navidad and a 7 mile drive through the mountain jungle on a beautifully laid interlocking brick and stone driveway, you find 'golf paradise'.
Absolutely fabulous setting and certainly quiet and unrushed. We never saw other golfers the entire round but saw plenty of course workers who keep it in immacculate condition. Great variety of elevations and tee box selections. Fairways are generous but forget it if you go into the jungle. No problem though, just hit another ball. Or another. No rush, no worry. Heck even the caddy can hit a tee shot or two. Fabulous scenery particularly approaching the ocean greens. Again, take the view in and shoot some pictures then try the different tee boxes on the mountainside to the green below. Lots of sand traps and all are manicured. Halfway house is wonderful for a light, fresh snack or quick bbq. Have a cerveza and one for the caddy too. Back nine is just as immpressive and the 12th is spectacular. Ponds on 17 and 18 but easy to play over, or around. Just relax and enjoy. We played January 2010 and will definitely take a group back with us next time. Green fees, including cart and caddy came to $195 CDN each. I've never paid that much before but will again for THIS experience. |
AwesomeRated:![]() by Dan from Mex Age: Written 3 years ago | Have played the course 5 times and can′t wait for the next. Usually no more than 6 groups playing the course and you feel it is only for youself. Very well maintained and great views. |
Top 3 on my list.Rated:![]() by CE from United States Age: 39 Handicap: 13 Written 3 years ago | It's one of the most beautiful golf courses in America. I've played Pebble, Spyglass, Torrey Pines, Medina, Olympia Fields and no one has the scenery that Tamarindo has. I've been there 3 different times already and this next Christmas will be the 4th. Excellent golf course. Very well maintained. |
The Best in MexicoRated:![]() by blarge from usa Age: 28 Handicap: 17 Written 4 years ago | This has to be one of my top 3 courses I have ever played on. It has great views, it is always in great shape and you even get to see some wild life. |
OutstandingRated:![]() by Greg Walker from USA Age: 50 Handicap: 9 Written 4 years ago | Outstanding course, layout and scenery were unmatched. I stayed in Manzillo and was told at the resort I must play this course and they were absolutely correct. Loved it and will play it again. It's a hidden gem |
Eddie Mullins, golf course ownerRated:![]() by Eddie Mullins from USA Age: 62 Handicap: 12 Written 5 years ago | I came to Tamarindo Golf Course with great expectations, only to leave with a sour reminder that I will not come back. The course was nice but not great. The rental charge for Callaway clubs was $85.00. When returning home and checking the web page the price should have been $55.00. The whole experince felt like one big rippoff.
The best golf in the world is in the USA. and anyone who thinks different hasn't been around.
I will not return to Tamarindo
