This recently opened gallery features a variety of works by a variety of artists, including Alfredo Zarce, Pablo O’Higgins and Ignacio Alvarez, who was the first Mexican artist to paint watercolors on silk in Japan. You will find works by Mexicans from the ‘50s, as well as newly discovered artists, such as Ian Sanchez, and a very interesting author, “Nube.” Visit and get acquainted with her work. They seek diversity, so you may also view photography, sculptures and original works by Octavio Ocampo.

Chili’s has opened their second franchise in Puerto Vallarta. Visit them and enjoy some good times along with a view of the city’s port terminal. Their menu offers a large variety of soups, salads, different cuts of meat, hamburgers, fajitas and chicken cooked various ways. There are also several combos ($169 pesos) and, of course, their deserts are not to be missed. The Chocolate Brownie Sundae (a warm brownie served with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, chopped nuts and cherries) is $64 pesos.

A new Mega Comercial Mexicana has opened, the third branch in the region and the first in Bahia de Banderas. This is a complete supermarket where families from nearby neighborhoods can fill their pantries without having to run all over town. At the main entrance, restaurant Bocatto offers pizza and assorted snacks plus a complete lunch for $35.90 pesos. Departments include furniture, appliances, pharmacy, groceries, bakery, meat, etc. Unique to this branch is Grand Café, a small coffee shop within the store where you can take a breather from shopping while sipping a cappuccino.
