I had my wedding at Casa Valerie on April 16 2010, and there are no words for how awful it was dealing with the owner Valerie Neblett. We got socked with all sorts of hidden charges, overtime fees, crazy grocery charges, and the worst of it is she wouldn’t return the security deposit until we paid an extra $300 US on top of the $150 already given to staff for a 2 day stay! Afterwards she had the odasity to ask for a favourable review and only then gave us back our money.
If our experience had taken place in North America, we would have not hesitated for a second to charge her for extortion, but since the legal process in Mexico is foreign to us and from what we hear quite agonizing to deal with, we are seeking retribution by telling our story to as many online and media outlets as possible to save others from having to go through what we went through. The accusations we are making are not small and we take them very seriously. As such, we have kept a trail of all email communications to verify our story. Yes her villa is spectacular and the staff are nice but IT IS NOT WORTH IT. She ruined our post wedding bliss and has to be held accountable. If you have a similar story, please share.

My stay in Casa Valerie was extraordinary. The service was impeccable and the rooms were out of 1,0001 Arabian Nights. The views alone were worth the price of the trip. I thought I was back in Capri. Our cuisine was fresh from the land or sea and the preparation by gourmet chef was 4 star. And talk about romance, Casa Valerie is for lovers. You are pampered yet have all the privacy in the world. You can party with the locals or never leave the compound. To wake up to views that otherwise were the stuff of dreams defines you and your loved one's experience at this exotic villa.
