I Always ReturnRated:![]() by Ron Measures from Canada Written 1 year ago | Someone recommended this place to me some years ago. I visit PV reqularly and have returned to this tapas restaurant each time. Wonderful ambiance and great food, ... you often get to see the fireworks too. I've never been disappointed and I'm always surprised at how small "la cuenta" is. Treat yourself next time you're in PV. |
Muy DeliciosoRated:![]() by Barbarita from usa/mexico Written 1 year ago | You want to find a gem... go enjoy a delicious meal here. The owner is from Barcelona and she has mixed Mediterrean and Mexican so beautifully... quaint, darling decor... small so go early. |
Incredibly Good Sopa de AjoRated:![]() by Dan Russo from Tucson, AZ, USA Written 2 years ago | Walking back from locating Liz Taylor's old residence, Casa Kimberley, I happened on La Esquina de los Caprichos. Seeing "Sopa de Ajo" on the menu, I ordered it. What a find! The last time I had such a flavorful, home made sopa de ajo was in the early 80's when I used to enjoy it at "Le Trianon," a French restaurant in Guadalajara that closed years ago.
I'll be in Puerto Vallarta for another 10 days and I'll definitly be making the arduous trek up Calle Iturbide for another bowl of soup and other delectibles from their menu. |
Amazing, Worth the HikeRated:![]() by Jack from United States Written 2 years ago | Really great little place, and worth the hunt and the hike. Owners are from Espana, food is authentic and delicious. If they are making Garlic Soup (and you will know right away if they are!), don't hesitate. Everything we had was delicious, and we are going again before we leave! |
Great PlaceRated:![]() by JMW from USA Written 3 years ago | This is a real find. It is way "off the beaten path." Husband does the cooking and the wife makes the desserts and takes care of the customers. Tapas are wonderful. a real find in any city. |
great restaurantRated:![]() by Mina Ross from Mexico Written 3 years ago | The best place to eat in Puerto Vallarta. Excelent and afordable. |
Cranky help, but good foodRated:![]() by Angela from United States Written 4 years ago | Yes, it's true, as one reviewer observed, that Adan's wife Mirella is less than cordial with the guests. Pity poor Adan. But Adan and his staff cook the most fabulous tapas I've ever had outside of Spain. Ignore Mirella, and enjoy Adan's wonderful cooking. The pulpo is to die for! |

Excelente!Rated:![]() by Marty from USA Written 5 years ago | Having spent five days in PV and returned only yesterday, we managed to eat twice at La Esquina. Miren and Adan were perfect hosts and the food was most authentic. I say this as someone who has been going to Spain since 1973. Everything you would expect to find at a small tapa bar in Madrid you will find here. The fideua de camaron was one of the best I have eaten. The ali-oli was full strength. There are a number of wines by the glass and all of them are Spanish. The place is small - six or seven tables -, but it is run by people who have put their heart and soul into the cooking. The interior is sparse and rather dark, but the overall experience is unforgettable. |
