Favorite Resturant on the TripRated:![]() by Ellen from USA Written 2 years ago | This was recommended by one of the staff on a Boat trip. Definitely did not disappoint. If you mention where you are going to go every local knew of it. Nothing is served on fancy dishes and it is very informal. My husband had one of the specials which was baby red snapper and octopus and I had the waiter recommendation (Coci Coci Shrimp) which was shrimp in a white sauce with cheese, onion and spinach. Both were wonderful and more than enough food. I had a Margarita and my husband had a Pepsi. Then we the waiter brought a dessert which we both enjoyed. It was a half banana grilled and drizzled with a white cream sauce and a shot of Kahlua on the side. Our bill was about 400 pesos.
Everything was very good and the staff was very friendly. If we had found this earlier in the trip I would gone more than once. |
Great Place With Great FoodRated:![]() by Wire from Canada Written 2 years ago | We we're introduced to Mauricio's on our first visit to P.V. a few years ago and have been back 3 times since. We make it a must visit. I agree that there is too much food (the wife and I split a shrimp plate and have trouble finishing). Would recommend this restaurant to anyone (even with the baby chickens running around the restaurant). Caught the Ixtapa bus at Woolworth's in downtown P.V. and the driver took us right to it. |
Great RestaurantRated:![]() by Tom Beck from USA Written 2 years ago | Our second trip to PV but the first to Mauricio's. Be sure to order a Tecate Beer. You'll be surprised. The food was great and probably more than most can eat. The service was super. Great price and before leaving a bottle of Tequila was brought to the table. We opened and had a couple of short shots. That bottle was given to us to take as we were leaving. Six of us will definitely return on every trip. |
Best Seafood SoupRated:![]() by Les from Canada Written 2 years ago | This is my favorite place for seafood soup. I love it so much I even run into town for lunch a couple times each year. We've gone for dinner every year for the past ten years.
The dinners are nice too. As with most mexican fare not great on the sides but the entrees are terrific. You won't be disappointed. |
Eat Where the Locals Eat, Can't Be Beat!Rated:![]() by Dave&Bev from USA Written 2 years ago | Mauricio's was recommended to us and we gave it a try. We love eating out and can honestly say this was the best we had so far since arriving 4 days ago. The seafood combo platters can't be beat, the amount of food was amazing, way too much to finish, and the best prepared flat iron steak, shrimp, mahi-mahi and lobster we have had in a long time. Put together with the soup, tostada, dessert, after dinner drink, beer and tequila (which they through in a whole bottle) how can you go wrong. We definitely will be back!!! |
The best food ever!!!!Rated:![]() by Diana from USA Written 3 years ago | Friends recommended this restaurant. It will part of our trip whenever we go back. Seafood soup was the best. Came out stuffed. If anyone leaves hungry they werent at Mauricios! Thanks Lori and Rick for the recommendation. |
Our Favorite PV Restaurantby Becky S from USAWritten 3 years ago | This is one of our favorite restaurants in Vallarta. The seafood is great and so are the ribs. They are more than happy to accommodate any request, whether on the menu or not!
The food is very reasonably priced and the portions are huge. A trip to Vallarta would not be complete without at least one meal at Mauricio's! |
MRSRated:![]() by Ronda Rodriguez from USA Written 4 years ago | We love Mauricios. Every time we go to PV we go there to eat. The food is excellent and the prices are just right. We love the seafood soup at the beginning and the little tostadas. The Margaritas are great also. We are so glad that the Taxi driver several years ago told us about this great local place where he takes his family. The bathrooms are super clean. They are on top of everything there ! |
