Located across from the airpot, this restaurant offers burritas of smoked marlin, shrimp, fish, or any combination of the above. Many have tried to imitate Tacón de Marlin, but none have succeeded.

A friendly place with framed pictures hanging in different places around the restaurant. At first it may seem like there is a lot of street noise, but after the first bite of your burrita the noise will disappear.

We were on vacation Jan.2010 in Punta Mita...when leaving for our flight we were told to get lunch across from the airport...best meal we had all week...bar none!
Next time will stop when we land and stock up for the week!

I live here and go eat at several of these resturants. The food is the greatest and i always stop by after check-in at the airport for a flight to the states. you can't beat the food or the prices.

Smoked marlin in Puerto Vallarta is hard to beat than here. I have made this my airport stopover, on the way back stateside as a fond memory of seafood. Tacon is sort of like a big burrito deep fried and loaded inside with marlin, shrimp, fish or octopus. Heaven on earth. Be sure to check the family's old B&W photos on the wall, showing their fine prizes from decades past. They now have 3 operations, so look them up. I have the addresses in my guide.
