Saw Blue Shrimp advertised in a map we were given upon our arrival in Puerto Vallarta. Since our group all liked shrimp I suggested we try it one night. We were a little nervous because the restaurant was empty when we arrived but we decided to give it a shot any way. We were greeted by a beautiful young lady who took care of us that night. The evening began with guacamole made table side. It was delicious. The menu offered so many options it was hard for all of us to choose. Two of us ordered a pound of shrimp each, served in three different ways. Two of us ordered 1/4 pound of shrimp done two ways. One ordered shrimp alfredo. Coconut shrimp, newspaper shrimp, portuguese shrimp, spicy shrimp--who could decide which was the best. Not our group--I think the Portuguese shrimp was the absolute best shrimp that I have ever eaten. The service, the presentation of the food, the atmosphere of the restaurant and the food were all outstanding. I would highly suggest that if you are visiting Puerto Vallarta you should go into town to eat at Blue Shrimp.

The Portueguese shrimp is to die for. The snapper also was excellent. Try some different kinds of shrimp as they all have a distinct flavor. Will go back again...

My husband and I are returning to P.V. soon and have not been able to stop talking or thinking about this place since our last trip. You must try the guacamole made tableside. It is a show and a delicious treat. The shrimp was probably the best we have ever had.

This is a wonderful eatery with terrific service and food. We will definitely visit again before heading back to Texas!

2nd time here. This time was better then the first. The shrimp was incredible. There was 3 of us and on the recommendation of the waiter we ordered the shrimp boat. The shrimp boat contains 4 types of shrimp. There was so much that the 3 of us could not finish all of them. The Portuguese shrimp was incredible.

I know both the owner of The Blue Shrimp and his other resturant Si Senor and both are amazing! Everything that I ordered at The Blue Shrimp was made to perfection and tasted wonderful. If you are in Puerto Vallarta you have to try both resturants!

The best guacamole ever! Watch and see how they make it and do it at home for a party............the best ever garlic shrimp is also the highest of the high chart......don't miss this place.

Whatever I say cannot do this restaurant justice. I had the 1/2 kg jumbo shrimp. My favourite recipes were the tequila and coconut shrimp. It was F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C !!! Just make sure you go there with an appetite. The hostess who greeted us at the door was friendly and charming. I suspect she may have been an owner. The restaurant seemed to be a reflection of her personality.
