Description

Warm, rich tones of amber and gold reflect the standard of high cuisine which places Tikul among only a few fine dining establishments in Puerto Vallarta. The stone bar, carved out of “tikul”, the indigenous stone which is the inspiration for the restaurant’s name, is complemented by an extensively stocked wine cellar, which offers the opportunity to step in and select your wine personally. Loveseats and booths offer comfort and coziness inside, and gorgeous teak patio chairs coupled with a top of the line sound system create a wonderful venue for sharing a good meal and a glass of wine with friends, business associates or someone you love. Listen to the soft, melodic sounds of the acoustic jazz live music, while you enjoy the varied selections offered by a top notch, haute cuisine menu.

Tikul offers elegant style, fabulous service and the love with which each meal is prepared and brought to your table. Intimate and welcoming, Tikul gives Marina Vallarta what it has been waiting for; a cool place to relax and enjoy a great conversation, a good glass of wine and an innovative and delicious meal, surrounded by good music and a beautiful ambiance.

After having spent a wonderful week of eating in PV we were disappointed with the beautiful restaurant in the Marina, Tikul. Granted the atmosphere is lovely however our meal was sorely lacking and we ended up sending two of our courses back to the kitchen. A tasteless salad with carrots which were cooked and were underdone and tough, and most disappointing were the crab cakes--arriving cold. The waiter insisted that this is the way they were to be eaten--however once heated this was apparently not the case. Our bottled water was 100 pesos !!!. NO accomodation on the bill or offer to make up for this poor showing with a comp dessert or glass of wine.Wait staff is clearly indifferent to it's guests. Ironically we had a lovely dinner at La Palapa, under the same ownership.

Outstanding location in the Marina. Fine quality throughout with very good wine list. Service outstanding the entire evening. Food quality, preparation and presentation as good as it gets. Price is on the high side but you do get what you pay for. Very Highly Recommended
